LADY SINGS THE BLUES ~ U.S. Half-Sheet Poster NSS# 72/393 -~ PARAMOUNT PICTURES ~ 1972
This RARE-SIZE poster from the CLASSIC BIOPIC OF SINGING LEGEND BILLIE HOLIDAY is in Excellent condition. It has very minor corner and edge wear and a few light surface scuffs with one light circular scuff partly into the title logo. Printed on glossy, heavy poster stock, it has always been ROLLED - never folded.
This elegant poster, features one of the best-known graphics art title-logos of the decade. It uses a sleek, semi-gloss silver background for the stylized logo that shows a sleek woman's arm, wearing two braclets...one a dangling pair of handcuffs. The hand clutches a period microphone, whose stand melds into the great title-logo letters.
The classic musical / biography stars DIANA ROSS , BILLIE DEE WILLIAMS and RICHARD PRYOR. Produced by BERRY GORDY and Directed by SIDNEY J. FURIE
The poster includes the following text:
" DIANA ROSS IS BILLIE HOLIDAY "
